Aqus System: Use sink water to flush the toilet

aqus system

Of late, fresh water has shed its multifunctional personality and the sooner we understand this, the better it’d be! Perhaps, using fresh water to flush our toilets is not a good idea now with depleting global fresh water resources posing more danger. There is no harm in using grey water or the water collected from sinks to flush our toilets. Now you can do the same in your home and save precious water from going down the toilet.

Aqus System is an easy to install device that can be used with your old sink and a two-piece toilet without much expenditure. The system collects water from a bathroom sink and filters and disinfects it before it gets re-used as flush water for an adjacent toilet.

According to the developers the system is expected to save between 10 and 20 gallons of water each day, that means somewhere around 3,650 and 7,300 gallons per year. This will not only cut your water bills by $40.88 to $81.76 but will also prevent reusable water from going down the sink.

Till now there is no news as to how much the system might cost, but considering the positive aspects of the concept and good you are doing to the environment I don’t think any cost might change your mind.
