Aquasailor: Carrying fresh water across oceans on solar powered sails!

Only yesterday have I talked about the ocean and my absolute and unmatched love for it in quite length, so I will not go down that road once again. But there is something about traveling across the wide blue oceans that gives you such immense kick that over centuries, people have risked everything they have despite knowing that they might gain absolutely nothing from it. While modern ways have made it a lot easier for us to charter across the mighty blues, there is still this matter of getting around quickly, safely and also off late, in an eco-friendly manner.

Aquasailor is a mighty green ship tat is huge both in its sheer scale and also the green features that are on board this huge cruiser. The ship has those huge ‘Sindbad’ like sails that sport solar panels all over them. So basically this mighty cargo is powered both by the wind and the sun. To top it al off, it is designed to carry fresh water across the planet. Now that is a true amalgamation of the elements. Here is a ship that uses the sun and the wind to carry water on to land! That is pretty much the coolest description I have heard in a long, long time.

The water is transported onto land through small, offshore facilities known as Single Point Moorings (SPMs). Using unique Solar Wing sails with solar cell array technology reduces fuel consumption and emissions by nearly 50% on the voyages compared to the conventional tanker of this size and hydrodynamic characteristics. That means that we are polluting the air and the oceans a lot less while continuing the voyage across the planet. The Aquasailor is truly the greenest of all green ships. At least, it gets as close to the crown as one can get.
