Alfa Romeo Giulia concept tries to reduce emissions with a hybrid engine

Alfa Romeo Giulia

Auto designer Dragos Prodan has conceptualized Alfa Romeo Giulia that is supposed to be an impressive combination of all the modern features of the present day models and the classic style of an old model. According to Prodan, the new Alfa Romeo Giulia concept will be based on the design of the Giulia coupe. It has been decided that the new Giulia coupe concept will be sporting different types of lightweight materials. The roof and the front as well as the rear bumpers will be made of a polymer that has been strengthened with carbon fiber. All the other body parts including the doors and the hoods will be made of aluminum, whereas, the windows will be formed from polycarbonate.

This is a four-seat coupe concept and consists of a 180 horsepower gasoline engine and a 109 horsepower electric motor that is powered by a lithium-ion battery which has a storage capacity of 30KWh. The battery of the concept can be either charged with help of the engine or a charging station. Alternatively, the battery pack can also be charged by a power socket in the house. Once fully charged the concept can cover a distance of 30 miles.

Overall, the whole concept looks very impressive. The combination of modern features and old Italian style is superb. Some other excellent features like the nickel-plated door handles, pepper-pot alloys and pillar-less side windows add to the beauty of the concept. T
