Eco Factor: Lighting applications make use of energy-efficient OLEDs.
Mexican design studio Agent has teamed up with Konica Minolta to develop two new OLED lighting applications – one for outdoors and the second for your personal self. The first of the two concepts is a combination of a public bench, public lighting and urban information system.
The system called Strip Light fuses public seating with street lighting. Stretched OLED lighting panels bent at various levels to from benches of light, which can serve as public seating or display surfaces. The system also features a map marker, which shows the direction of your desired destination.
The second concept, called the Wearable Band of Light, is a hybrid of jewelry, a safety element and a wearable light. The wrap-on accessory glows with light and can be worn around your body matching your personality. The lightweight bands are bendable, slim and cool and curved in any way you like.
