SoloTrek innovators to build a multi-passenger hybrid air car

Hybrid Air CarAircraft engineers Michael Moshier, Robert Bulaga and their team are planning to shape up a multi-passenger, fuel-electric hybrid air car. The new air car project is an attempt to build a successor to their previous Vertical Take-Off-and-Landing (VTOL) single passenger vehicle called SoloTrek XFV.

The multi-passenger hybrid air car will be based on the same duct-fan technology that was used in SoloTrek, but under a new aircraft innovation company that they plan to establish in Silicon Valley, U.S.A. So, the aircraft engineers are looking for funds for the project. According to Moshier, the ‘history-creating’ project would only get started once someone comes up to fund it.

The team’s SoloTrek XFV project that cost $5 million was funded by DARPA – Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. The SoloTrek air car had attracted huge recognition among aircraft enthusiasts and, as a result, it grabbed the Invention of the Year award from Popular Science. The new project will be largely helpful in several concentrated applications like police patrolling, recue operations and providing medial aids to estranged people due to natural calamities.

Moshier further points out that the new air vehicle will be a blessing for the day-to-day commutation purposes in third world countries, where established transportation infrastructure is a hell. Moreover, it can be used to escape from the huge congestion of cities in developed countries.
