Elkiær + Ebbeskov win $12 million project to design community center in Denmark

Pulsen Community Center

Collaborating Danish Firms SEA and Elkiær + Ebbeskov are the luckiest among the 43 others to have won a high-profile competition to build a Community Center in Denmark. The two turned out to be the winner of the competition – ‘The Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports Facilities’ – and they are now all geared up to design Pulsen. Pulsen will be constructed in Balling village and a whopping USD 12 million will be spent on this mega project.

As Pulsen will be for mixed-use, the project aims to have multi-facilities available under single roof. Pulsen will be a perfect place for all age groups. For health conscious people, it will have fitness and yoga centers. Sports enthusiasts will be able to spend a rocking time participating in several games and sports activities. Music and art lovers will get opportunities to groom their talent as they will get a chance to be a part of the special classes and workshops to be held in Pulsen.

Pulsen will also be home to a number of functions like Spas, baths, eateries, healthcare and even more facilities. To have a community center has been a dream of the locals since 2004 and with the project going in SEA and Elkiær + Ebbeskov’s kitty, very soon it’s going to turn into a reality. Pulsen is an environmentally friendly project as it uses methods which consume low energy. It also emphasizes on the use of natural methods and focuses on using materials which are sustainable.
