Whalanol: renewable fuel from whale blubber!

Amid the world’s rising concern for increasing global warming and soaring oil prices, companies are rapidly shifting to bank on alternative energy sources. Similarly, one of the items on the agenda of the International Whaling Commission is to develop ‘whalanol’.

Whalanol is a gasoline additive derived from whale blubber. Rune Frovik, secretary of the Commission justifies the plan by saying,

We think there is growing support for whaling in principle and in practice, as the IWC reports.

IWC and Exxon/Mobile feel that these energy alternatives are overlooked and they are banking on to harvesting nature’s surplus, as this is an animal which lived in nature.

The whalanol is a natural and renewable fuel additive that will be capable of working in any engine. It is also energy-efficient as it burns three times as efficiently as gasoline. According to the commission there could be no energy-source more environmentally friendly than whale-based petroleum additives.
