The growing global concern for the environment is once again manifested in the UAE. It has in its market launched a new brand of environment-friendly carpets. These carpets are made from 85 per cent recycled materials.
Expectedly, the carpets would provide corporate stakeholders an alternative choice, especially those in the construction and tourism industries. These environmentally-responsible carpets are manufactured by Beaulieu of America. It is distributed in the UAE by Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group’s (ESAG) Office Furnishing Interior Solutions (OFIS).
Be it, the use of recycled water or the energy-saving technology, the manufacturing process adheres to a set of standards that is said not to compromise on the environmental impacts.
The Beaulieu carpets are made from recycled plastic or polyethylene terepthelate (PET) bottles that are transformed into nexterra or a revolutionary carpet tile backing. These tiles are then treated with a durable self-renewing odour neutralizer — called Puralex. It helps in reducing odours and purifying the air.
