Using ‘100 percent green’ fat-derived biofuel to fly jet airplanes

jet airplane 9The North Carolina State University engineers have developed a new bio-fuel technology that can extract fuel from any fat source capable of powering jet airplanes. The new technology is derived from ‘crudus potential’ or ‘green power’ in Latin and is called – Centia.

The fuel made using the new technology is considered ‘100 percent green,’ because no petroleum-derived products are added in the process of its manufacturing. Centia can also be used to make additives for cold-weather bio-diesel fuels. It also holds the potential to power the current gasoline-run automobiles.

The North Carolina State has received provisional patents for using this process of converting fats into jet fuel. It is a better additive for bio-diesel fuels to be used during cold weather.
