Canada’s Ontario administration seems to be up with their arms to turn the city ‘green.’ With global warming and climate changes becoming an issue of concern for environmentalists and scientists, it has planned to host 14 environment-friendly projects by the year 2010.
Significantly, it will soon be building a large solar farm, which they claim to be Canada largest. Not just Canada, the farm will also become the largest ever in the whole of North America!
Once the farm starts generating power, it would be lessen the province’s dependence on the non-environment friendly sources of energy and fuel.
The province is also the site preferred site for various projects related to coal technology as well as nuclear power, again increasing the concerns o the region’s environmentalists.
But, hope this new large solar farm, along with the other renewable energy projects in their area would help in alleviating the current environment-related problems they are facing.
