Getting natural light without windows was till now thought to be like finding a pin in a stack of hay. Well, DayRay has been able to find daylight for all those who don’t want the outside world to invade their privacy through windows.

The system is made of flexible polymer light fibers that carry daylight to the inner core of a building. The system comes with discrete collectors that can be installed on roofs or walls of a building, they carry light to the inner core of the building, which is then distributed to the interior. The collectors work great even on cloudy days and do not need to be rotated to keep the sun in their view.

On the interior side, the light dispensers can be installed on the ceiling, walls or on the floor. They deliver natural light just where you want it to be so it drastically reduces the amount of artificial lighting required to keep you going. The best feature is that the system can be installed without any need for structural alterations.

Moreover, since you are getting light without any windows, it also keeps the room cool in summers. The company hopes to get the first units installed in September. Till now there is no news on the price of this system but we surely will keep you informed.
