It’s kind of impractical to utter the words sports car and ecological and relate them to each other. We can understand about eco-friendly hybrid cars….but then those are for urban everyday use. Cannot think of speeding off on them over some race tracks! But Marcus Schranzer dared to dream about a green sports car and came up with Crave.
Intended for the future, 2020, to be precise, Crave is designed to run on hydrogen. Designed to burn the race tracks as well as the city roads focus is on minimum weight, maximum performance and of course hyper eco-friendliness. If and whenever it will hit the production shelf, it will weigh less then 500 kilograms. This uber light eco car will be able to thrust and output of 88kW with its four electrical hub motors, one in each wheel, powered by a hydro cell.
Estimated to zoom off from 0 to 60 mph / 100km/h in about 4 seconds, it will be crafted from ecological materials like – Limonen (orange oil extract) for the plastic body without any fossile ressources, secondary (recycled) aluminium for the chassis, corn starch for the tyre thread, Aroboform (“liquid wood”) and Climatex Lifeguard for the interior parts.
