How to mod your gas-powered lawn mower into electric in three easy steps

It really doesn’t make any sense when a tree-hugger goes around moving his lawn on a gas-fuelled machine. Besides those old-fashioned grass hoggers just cut a big, fat hole in your pocket every time you have to top up the tank so it’s really much better for your finances, as well as the environment, for you to go green and trade in your gas guzzler for an electric one. But if you don’t wanna shell out a tonne of cash on a brand new electric lawn mover, you can always mod your old one to run on solar power, and that too in three easy steps.

Just replace the old gas engine with an electric one, slap a solar panel on top of the thing, wire the two together and viola! You have yourself a practically brand new and super efficient green mover. Of course the initial setup might cost you a good $1,500, but given that you’ll never have to pay for gas or even electricity for your mover again, I consider that a good investment!
