The Ohio folks are taking a new journey by going green and setting up an admirable example of sustainable building for ecological and human health. The whole unit is set up in an educational system somewhere between Toledo and Cleveland. The project was completed in 2000 by Adam Joseph Lewis Centre for Environmental Studies which is an ongoing green build experiment, as its energy performance is tested to evolve.
Every minute detail is taken care of at the centre, including the usage of reused materials within the centre. Electricity, plumbing etc are all energy efficient and passive whenever required. Followed by thorough training rendered to these students by making them know and learn more about the ecologically friendly environment resulting in an idyllic experience.
However the best part of the whole concept is its interior and exterior containing a variety of constructed native northern Ohio Ecosystems that not just provide food but also storm water management and storage.
The Adam Joseph Lewis Centre has definitely made a move by testing and demonstrating without comprising one bit on human and environment health which is a huge step indeed. This incomparable landscape is worth appreciation from all, not just because it has the ability to naturally cleanse and recycle waste water for reuse but also for the other innumerably genius features.
