A new prop for your shirt: The solar powered tie

If you think a battery powered bicycle, underwear for two, are silly inventions then wait till you see the newest edition to the solar powered devices – A solar power tie, what next? This one certainly hits the jackpot when it comes to incongruous originality. The brain behind the nerd wear comes from a bunch of researchers from Iowa State University. It’s developed from solar fabrics and the panels on this piece of cloth are tiny and laid out in a grid that at least makes it look the regular tie, which is good!

However odd/ freaky you might think this is, it’s totally useful when your battery or mp3 player dies out in the middle of the day. All you got to do is stack the little thing in the pouch behind the tie, and voila you are set and no one will ever have a clue that it’s the tie power that’s juicing your accessory. This slightly odd nerdy green thing is a do-able option in a freaky sort of way. So till there are gazillion other methods of charging my accessories via renewable energy i certainly don’t need the solar fabric cloth!
