Eco Factor: Junk bike powered by electricity.

What good are recycled objects if they’re developed for an exhibition or a show and are returned to the junkyard after the show is over? Omaha-based DIYer, Tony Parker, is showing the world a way junk can be transformed into a more practical product which you can use every day and preserve the environment each day you use it.

The DIYer has crafted a cool-looking electric motorcycle, known as Electra Green, from parts collected from the junkyard. The bike gets powered by a 2.5KW 48V motor. What’s more? The bike gets charged from a self-designed solar and wind harnessing station.
