Eco Factor: Three-story-high energy-efficient digital media façade.

American Airlines Arena has unveiled MiamiMediaMesh, a one-of-a-kind 3.400-square-foot, energy-efficient digital media façade in Miami, which will be the largest digital LED display and will transform downtown Miami into Times Square South. Blending seamlessly with the Arena architecture, MiamiMediaMesh covers 3,400 square feet of the Arena’s west face, making it the largest digital LED display in the Southeast region of the United States.

The new LED display will face South Florida’s high-traffic Biscayne Boulevard and will be visible to traffic heading to the Port of Miami. Apart from the 1.4 million visitors to American Airlines Arena annually, this will be visible to the over 3.8 million cruise passengers visiting the Port each year and the 65,000 cars on Biscayne Boulevard every day.

Combining architectural aesthetics with a powerful digital media platform, the display will use just one-sixth the electricity of conventional LED boards, requires no external cooling and provides passive solar gain. Being flexible, the display can secure to any shape building or structure including glass and circular buildings.

The energy-efficient display won’t be a dud in picture quality as well, as it displays cinematic quality images in high pixel resolution, and any content on your computer screen can be displayed at this digital wall.
