Eco Factor: Low-emission car powered by a hybrid engine.

Here is some good news for all those who were always interested to own a luxury sedan, which doesn’t pollute as much as they car you are possessing. After being in the concept stage for about 19 months, the most awaited PHEV car, Fisker Karma, is going to make a public driving experience next month.

The full-size luxury sedan has seating for four, a 50 mile range on a full charge of its lithium-ion battery pack, which can be extended to 300 miles if its on-board generator turned by a 260hp Ecotec engine is also running. The car’s twin 101.5hp electric motors generate enough to power the car to 60mph in just six seconds.

With that much power under its hood, the car reaches a top speed of about 125mph, which makes it good for all those who don’t want to sacrifice the thrill of driving a fast car for the sake of the environment. The company plans to produce about 15,000 units each year with a price tag of $87,900.
