Eco Factor: Prototype mobile home made using an old shopping cart.
With doomsday predictions on a rise, there are some who are stocking much more than food and water. Eco-minded artist Kevin Cyr from Brooklyn has designed a fully-functional home using a shopping cart. Dubbed as a “Camper Kart”, the design is large enough to fully enclose a 5-foot-8 frame.
Taking inspiration from Cormac McCarthy’s post-apocalyptic novel “The Road”, the cart is a packs a retractable roof and a back door as well. With no stopping at the Camper Kart, Cyr is hoping to expand his work into a series, with an intention to experiment with an Indian rickshaw next.
