All those who have any experience in either living or constructing shipping container homes, know that the limiting factor is not the length but the width, which makes the home look cramped, cold and rectangular. However, the Mobile Dwelling Unit or simply MDU is different – it’s wide, comfortable and elegant on the inside.
The house features a standard 40-foot cargo container with eight elements sliding and folding out from the core central container structure, including a kitchen, bathroom, bed, desk, sofa, reading nook and a pantry.
The interior features simple light plywood panels and bright red-painted highlights that give the open space a comfortable and elegant look. The home might not be as luxurious as the Push-Button House or the Quik House but it definitely offers a better way to start a green life.
