Eco Factor: Electric tractor powered by renewable energy.
Ecotricity recently announced its plans to take on the British land speed record for an electric vehicle, with a renewable energy powered EV dubbed the Nemesis and the company is now planning to get its hands on agricultural vehicles as well.
The company has announced plans to develop an all-electric zero-emission tractor that will be powered by wind energy. The company hasn’t gone into details but doesn’t fail to mention that:
“It’s entirely feasible to produce electric-powered farm machinery and then power it with renewable energy produced onsite, but while low-carbon energy generation and transport are attracting a lot of attention, no one is looking at food production – that is what we plan to do next.”
