Eco Factor: Grass-clad hotel combines sustainability with surrounding landscape.
MVRDV, a name known to blend architecture, urbanism and landscape design together is here yet again to stun us with a luxury holiday resort that is disguised as a mountain with a green exterior. Located on an untouched coastline land in Montenegro, Galije is what this green escape is called. The grass-clad hotel looks like it hides under a lush green hilltop that has been pulled up as a blanket.

Designed for Aston Martin, the Galije has been designed to combine sustainability with surrounding landscape in a way that its rough beauty can be preserved. The aesthetically appealing resort will house 115 apartments, 87 hotel rooms, a restaurant, a pool, a parking lot and retail space. This under cover residence undoubtedly succeeds in its mission of leaving the natural landscape absolutely untouched.
