Eco Factor: Zero-emission concept vehicle powered by electricity.

Auto designer Anand Krishnan believes that in the future it will nearly be impossible to drive fast. The rise in the number of cars on the road will clog highways and the only way to get out it will be to drive slowly. Krishnan has come up with a vehicle for these times, which seats three people in utmost comfort while moving.

Christened Thinq, the zero-emission vehicle is powered by electricity. Electric charge isn’t actually stored in conventional batteries but is stored in the body of the car. The technology is based on the use of “wafer” batteries, developed by London’s Imperial College. Consisting of two layers, with a layer of glass in between them, the battery doubles as the housing.

Moreover, the unique battery system allows the designer to play with the layout, and the seating arrangement of the car. The unique seating arrangement makes the passengers sit on a comfortable couch placed right in front of the driver.
