Have you ever imagined a bike with no seats? If yes, good for you, but if no, think no further – this quirky yet heartfelt design is just for you. Conceived by one Dr. Carsten Mehring, this fanciful contraption is basically ‘like’ a hang-glider, except it runs on ground with three wheels. The driver is just strapped to the harness hanging from the top rod, as he/she maneuvers the tricycle with a pair of handgrips connected to the two front wheels.
According to the creator, the tricycle also has other prototypes, including one which allows you to move your body in a crib and steer the machine like a hang glider. Coming to the convenience aspect, this vehicle is not at all suitable for up-hill runs, but it can more than make up for it for one of those fiercely exhilarating downhill joyrides with the gushing wind upon your very visage! This capricious carrier was anyway meant to be for leisure.
And there is also a tacitly conscientious touch to this design, as the inventor suggests that it can be used by the injured and handicapped people to glide down the streets without pedaling, and that too in a zero emission ride.
