Australian inventor Simon Williams is unlike many other designers and architects who spend the majority of their lives on CGI renditions that barely, if ever, come to life. The Deliver-E Electric has been as much a work of passion as it has been of careful observation and meticulous planning. In fact, Williams quit his job and worked as a mailman for 18 months to get a first hand feel of the job in Australia and the features that a carrier needs to have in order to be the perfect vehicle for those who deliver mail.
His study and work has yielded the Deliver-E Electric Trike. The all-electric three-wheeler is powered by two electric motors in the rear wheels and a package of 16 Li-Ion batteries. This eliminates both mind-numbing noise and carbon-emissions that are otherwise commonplace. Also, the feature of parking the Trike vertically on sloped roads gives it extra stability.
Topping off at 50mph and offering a range of 37miles, you can carry the cargo under your seat with ease. Deliver has been created keeping the needs of mailmen across the globe and it seems that Williams has achieved that purpose with simplicity and ease. While the easy part of the deal was in designing and making the prototype, the difficult part will be now to find an investor who will back the project.
Considering that only five hours is required to make each one of these in an industrial setup, we dearly hope someone comes forward to fund the Deliver-E Electric Trike, and soon.
