Ford released the above-pictured little car at the Geneva Auto show held 43 years ago (in 1967). The small electric commuter, dubbed as Comuta, had a top speed of 40mph and a range of 40 miles at the time it was introduced.
Ford’s upcoming Ford Focus electric car is supposed to have more than double the speed (84 mph) and double the range (160km). With contemporary motors and advanced technical controllers, the Comuta may have worked out well for roads of cities like London and other European cities where road speeds aren’t very high.
