Eco Factor: Zero-emission scooter powered by electricity.
ZEV known to give the world the fastest electric motor scooters has recently unveiled the world’s first street legal electric trail and dirt road motor scooter. Sporting a very unique design, the bike features a large cargo mount that is placed just below the back seat, while two lockable storage boxes on either side give extra space to store things. It can carry load of up to 250 pounds. This load carrying capacity of the bike is making it call “a two-wheeled pickup truck”.
The Trail comes in two variants, the 5100 and the 6100. Both the models features electric battery with capacity more than many electric cars, the 5100 model has 4.32 KWh battery, while the 6100 models flaunts 5.04 KWh battery. The 5100 can travel up to 113 km on one charge with top speed reaching to 50 mph, while the 6100 manages 137 km and goes up to 58 mph.
Originally intended to be a delivery and police-usage vehicle, the Trail is being liked by others too. ZEV claims that even at 150C, the bike’s motor runs with 82 percent efficiency. A rider can adjust the seat by simply sliding it forward up to 6 inches. The 5100 will set you back by US$5,991 and the 6100 is priced at US$7,526.
