WT Motors to come up with eco friendly Quad

ram zev A four wheeled demon (I love to call it so, just look at the bulk with four giant wheels) that is powered by two electric motors. This is RAM ZEV, a prototype developed in collaboration between the University La Sapienza in Rome and WT Motors (this Italian company is famous for their bikes). ZEV or Zero Emission Vehicle, this prototype was displayed at the dell’Eicma, Milan. The basic design of a quad, it was aimed at being less bulky and more efficient. Two motors of 12.5 KW power in front and rear move this quad which has batteries made from 150 modules of lithium ions. Weighing 50 kgs the batteries were purposely allowed to obtain the weight similar to an internal combustion engine in order to provide performance and autonomy of 40 kilometers of distance. The lithium batteries are refillable in 3 hours time and can provide extra power for a few seconds of about 50 KW in critical situations. Most apt for off road drives, this environment friendly quad design is still being studied and the company may even come up with a four engine model, one engine for each wheel. WT motors want to conjure up the image of an ideal vehicle that is completely pollution free and is perfect for that hide out in the wood without being intrusive. Just as how Manuel Vindusca, CEO of WT Motors puts it

It is half that, in between trips in the woods and mountains, will also help to erase the image of the vehicle and harassing intrusive nature of quad and similar devices. We strongly believe in projects ecosostenibili because they represent the future and a young company like ours, which has always been oriented to innovation, it can not rely on models obsolete.
