Do you stay in the northeast US? Here’s a great opportunity for you if interested in picking some skills and experience at installing small scale wind turbine systems. Cape & Islands Self Reliance is hosting a Small Wind Installer’s Apprentice Workshop in the town of Bourne in May. It is a cool non-profit organization that promotes eco-technologies and sustainable practices in the Cape Cod region of Massachusetts.
The six day workshop will be held Monday, May 15th to Saturday, May 20th, 2006. It will include the installation of an AIRcon S10 turbine on a newly developed, counter balanced, tilt-up mono-pole tower.
From sitting to interconnection to the grid, participants will be a part of the complete project. Half a day of classroom sessions will be held every day. And the other half of each day will conduct hands on activities relating to the actual turbine installation.
