Whoosh around in the eco-friendly Easyglider X6

The vehicle you see above is Stephan Soder’s brainchild. He created this innovative mode of transport in his garage with a small petrol motor.

Since you must be wondering what this thing actually is, let me tell you that it is a 12mph electric tricycle. The commercial version is called the Easyglider X6 which riders can use with a skateboard or roller-blades or stand on a two-wheeled rear platform.

This cute little thing isn’t deprived of cool features. It features an electric-powered front wheel, a handbrake, a headlight, and three power levels. Optional extras include a music system, complete with a pair of mini speakers.

Driving it is a piece of cake. You simply turn it on, stand on the platform and twist the throttle.

If you ask for my opinion, I’d say I don’t see myself dressing myself up in my best formals and whooshing down the road to work on this, with due respect to the gentleman in the picture. I wouldn’t be seen dead parking it outside party places either.

But yes, I definitely think it’s cute and very sporty. The fact that it is absolutely easy on the environment makes it even more attractive. I’d love to try it while going to play or when I am in the mood of scooting around for the heck of it.

But the kids would surely love it and it might be really difficult to get them away from it. That reminds me, the kid’s version of the Easyglider is available for £399, while the bigger version sells for £699.
