While most often than not Iran is in the news these days for all the wrong reasons, it seems that finally there is one good reason for the country to celebrate about. While it may not a major political issue or a social change, it pertains to a very important cause. It is wonderful to see that despite all its constraints & the pressures it is under currently, Iran has decided to go ahead & build its first 7-star solar powered hotel. So, as the world mulls over whether the Iranian government is trying to acquire nuclear technology, it surely can be confirmed without a shadow of a doubt that they are moving forward with solar technology.

Kish is considered often as the ‘Dubai of Iran’ for the sheer fact that both social & financial constraints are not as harsh in this gorgeous little province as they are through the rest of the country. It is a very famous tourist spot even today through the Middle East. Hence the Iranian government decided to keep its international tourist both happy & interested by going eco-friendly. It is a 2 years project that would cost Iran a good $520,000,000 & is considered a highly adventurous venture at this point. But the officials are determined to go ahead so as to give the province a unique look of its own.

Without a shadow of a doubt, such a move will save a lot of fossil fuel from being burned & will also help give some respect to Iran in the eyes of its high profile detractors. While is anybody’s guess if the sanctions on Iran would be withdrawn, this is surely a step that would put the nation in good light.
