
When we think of buying organic, we have a set idea that it will fall a bit heavy on the purse. But, this summer you are not to go disappointed about it. The supermarket shelves will not only be contained with a lot more organic food, but also should cost a lot less.
Most of the major US food producers are up with their gloves on working on to develop organic versions of their best-selling products — for e.g., like that of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies and Kraft’s macaroni and cheese.
Wal-Mart has suddenly kicked up a competition, wanting to sell more organic food. Wal-Mart is the nation’s largest grocery retailer, and it has decided to offer more organic food. It feels that banking on “organic” will surely help not only modernize its image, but also broaden its appeal to urban and other upscale consumers.
