The Velantic concept yacht is the brainchild of designer Harry Wood who believes that green design does not have to be ugly and green credentials can be celebrated equally well in a sleek and aesthetically pleasing dynamic form. The Velantic makes use of new green technologies in a unique and bespoke manner.
The eco-friendly technologies are hidden in the fluidity of the form. The hybrid is to rebel against stagnant design and act as a stepping stone into a whole new movement where artistic sculptural form meets dynamic design. The Hybrid of the sail/bio-diesel engines create a unique yachting experience, which meets societies expectations in green credentials.
The new sail system allows the user to transform the craft from a natural sailing yacht to a power cruiser. These two propulsion systems can be combined to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
