Eco Factor: Energy generation through renewable resources.

BP’s massive Gulf oil spill and the imminent coastline disaster do hint toward a possibility that the US administration would be more open toward embracing clean green technology in the future. In an attempt to promote energy generation through renewable resources, 10 states along the US East Coast have signed a memorandum of understanding to officially create the Atlantic Offshore Wind Energy Consortium, which supports the development of wing energy farms on the Outer Continental Shelf. Along with the wind power, the Consortium will also try to promote solar energy and biomass apart from generating thousands of green jobs in manufacturing, construction and operations relating to new initiative. The US EPS is also providing assistance in running renewable energy program called Re-Powering America’s Land, which includes wind turbine installations along with solar and other renewables.
