T.Rover Hybrid Trike: A robustly conceived unique trike for low emission urban commute

T-Rover

There are trikes and there are trikes with the venerable, boisterous and iconic 1000cc V-twin engine. This fascinating conception certainly falls into the latter category, and it does so with a flourishing style backed by a brawny demeanor. Named as the T.Rover, and designed by mechanical engineer Brian West, the trike incorporates two front wheels, instead of the more traditional single front wheel (and two rear wheels).

Coming to the engine element, the main power-train will be integrated with an exhilarating 1000cc V-twin engine. But that’s not all, as the designer has also thought about the sustainable side of affairs. He has envisaged a dual hybrid setup that will drive the motorized front wheels. For steering the ‘green’ monster, specially equipped handlebars (with push or pull mechanism) will be provided at an ergonomic position. Finally, to accentuate upon the user comfort level, the main seat can be extended for an additional passenger and extra storage space. This convenient attribute enhances the composite element of raw styling with inherent practicality.

According to the designer, the trike will mainly cater to urban commuters. Not that we are complaining, especially in view of a low emission spurt around the city blocks and that too in a seemingly more robust cousin to the Batpod!
