Hong Kong manufacturers have come up with ultra-high-output white LEDs. And they are selling the energy-efficient products directly to the consumer via eBay. These are the raw components, plus resistors for wiring them to a 12-volt car system. To create “undercar phantom glow”, it is a popular application.
The LED is named Light of Victory Led Store. The 100 large size LEDs (1 cm diameter, 130,000 millicandles) can be bought via airmail for $35. It includes series resistors and air-mail postage. The deal seems great!
