That mouse right besides you, running on power or battery, wouldn’t have ever thought of being a bygone reality – and why would it have thought, the human brain that developed it, could someday come up with something better. Probably its notion would have been affirmative, had environment not been the issue – but since latter is the hard fact, an alternative is struck.
A wireless photovoltaic-powered computer mouse is under trial, and if the solar powered mouse could yield positive results, then the aforementioned could certainly head to the landfills. Sole Mio, as they call this world’s first solar powered mouse – was user tested by Minister Cramer of Holland, to see if solar power is actually capable of keeping the device charged for a busy day’s routine.
The objective of developing this mouse is to see whether renewable energy and amazing design can lure users, with the same intensity as its predecessors – and to help get rid of hundreds of millions of batteries and power that is used to run such devices around the world.
In spite of all this, the success of the mouse will depend upon the usage pattern of the patrons, are they willing to charge the unit at the window during the daylight?
