Eco Factor: Light spheres illuminate Dubai sky using clean energy systems.
Lights and Wings Choreographies in the Sky is a sustainable art form visualized for Site #1 in Dubai, adjacent to Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary by Carlos Campos Yamila Zynda Aiub Architects. The design envisions hundreds of light spheres in the Dubai sky that fly in geometrical position using clean energy systems. These installations or the wings use the self controllable Paraglider Technology to stay afloat.
The devices are equipped with photovoltaic solar panels to harness solar energy during the day while the remaining is stored to illuminate the park in the night. The wings will be equipped with GPS flight navigator, to maintain distance amongst them, wind sensors to decide the angle against the wind, altitude etc. and LED illumination devices to lighten up the park in the dark. Together the wing artifacts would rise in the sky to create ever new pre designed conformations depending on the wind conditions and weather. These robotized artifacts will be able to gently reach the people in the park, generating new human interactive emergencies.
