Commission by SunPower to make furniture for a new office in an old Ford manufacturing building, this exquisite executive table crated by Oakland-based design-building studio Because We Can takes the notion of green energy to a whole new level. Crafted out of reclaimed wood, the table houses one of SunPower’s solar panels on top and actually harnesses solar energy even when in use by the company’s officials. With a smooth plastic surface and a sturdy steel frame holding it al together, the table definitely makes a great case for itself as a model for future outdoor furniture designs.
