Originally launched in late 2007, the Solar Breeze robotic pool cleaner by Solar Pool Technologies has been upgraded by the company. The Solar Breeze 2.0 skims dirt, debris, pollens and suntan oils from the surface of the pool without consuming any electricity from your wall socket.
The device features onboard solar panels that power its various motors, while all extra energy is used to recharge built-in batteries that are used to power the Solar Breeze after dark. It also features software that directs it to areas with more sunlight.
The enhanced version includes several improvements over the original. The solar panels have 300 percent greater output capacity, and the motors have also been replaced with new brush-less versions that have a life of approximately 30,000 hours. The Solar Breeze 2.0 will set you back $499.
