Schott Solar debuts new roof-integrated PV modules utilizing Schott Advance Series

Photovoltaic Panel

This unique roof-integrated photovoltaic module comprising of a unique BASF resin Ultramid B High Speed multi-functional pan and a SCHOTT frameless double-glazed module has several winning features. It is touted as one of the most innovative products for agricultural and industrial buildings with large roof areas. It’s lightweight, cost-effective, easy to deploy, robust, and efficient.

Unlike conventional roofing, the one-piece plastic pan can be installed directly on the building’s roof substructure. The Ultramid helps in easy mobility of the PV module as well as in quick tool-free and dirt-free four-point installation and also ensures secure Click & Go latching. The new bayonet connection and screw-free attachment provide automatic tolerance compensation. The stackable pan minimizes shipping volume and the Ultramid B High Speed. The easy-flowing grade in the polyamide 6 range ensures cost-effectiveness and processing on injection molding machines with a lower clamping force.

The special Ultramid grade also helps the resin to withstand elevated temperatures while its exceptional UV resistance and UltramidB High Speed meet all the criteria for construction applications involving for material class B2. The pan’s integrated channels facilitate faster rain water drains while the large opening at the pan’s center provides for adequate back ventilation. The PV module’s double-glazing technology ensures protection against adverse weather conditions. The double-glazed PV module dimensions spell a high efficiency per unit area.
