With the world rapidly shifting to hybrid vehicles, San Francisco does not seem to prefer lagging behind in the race.
Amidst rising fuel prices and increasing greenhouse gas emission concerns, following the increasing trend of cities’ shifting to hybrid vehicles, San Francisco has decided to run more than 50 diesel-electric hybrid buses on its roads. The state’s municipal transportation service has decided to do this by the end of 2006.
