Created by UK based radio manufacturer Roberts Radio, solarDAB is the world’s first solar powered DAB radio. With a solar panel integrated into the top of the unit, the radio is a compact and stylish music player that can accompany you almost anywhere. A level indicator on the display screen shows the strength of the sunlight while a built-in rechargeable battery pack draws in all the juice of the solar power. Once fully charged, the batteries can last for a good 27 hours and allow the radio to be played even in pitch dark in that duration and if you manage to run the batteries out without being able to recharge via sunlight again, you can always use the mains adapter to juice up your radio.
