To better things the company will now ship Solio, a solar powered charger developed by Better Energy Systems. This hybrid charger can use the power of the sun as well as your wall socket to charge your cellphone. This charger will be available free of cost as a part of a limited offer and after that will be available for sale through Working Assets Wireless with other phones.
This mobile operator also plans to donate 1% of a sale to progressive organizations working for environmental protection and other causes. Following the steps of the wireless provider, Better Energy Systems has also announced an additional 1% donation for each solar charger sale. Both the companies hope that purchasing such devices means that every person is offsetting their own personal carbon footprint.
