The longtime champion of green causes, Prince Charles is up with arms to make his traveling ‘green’. He is replacing gas-guzzling private planes and helicopters with commercial flights, train journeys and bio-diesel cars.
The heir to the throne strongly feels that action is needed ‘now’ for avoiding a ruined planet being gifted to the next generation.
The prince does not seem to be satisfied with taking just these actions! He is also converting his Jaguar and Land Rover to 100 percent bio-diesel-based vehicles. He has also planned to use sustainable sources for providing electricity to his London and country homes.
Speaking on condition of anonymity in line with royal rules, a spokeswoman for the Prince’s London residence, Clarence House, said,
From February, we are going to look at the diary and see what we can do to reduce our carbon footprint.
Wherever possible, we will be making less use of helicopters and chartered planes and rely more on car journeys, scheduled flights and trains.
