It has been really difficult to get one’s hands on the Eneloop solar charger outside of Japan. Now there’s an easy alternative that does the exact same thing.
Even though its not aesthetically strong like Eneloop charger, doesn’t have a USB connection it allows you to charge a battery using all green energy.
The charger can charge almost all types of batteries including D, C, AA, and AAA batteries. It supports both NiMH, and NiCad. It charges using the on-board 7V solar cell.
It weighs only 260 grams and is portable. You can even carry it in your backpack and can be purchased online at Amazon for $25.
