Now an electric concept car that cleans polluted air!

vieria electric carIf you thought that electric cars that don’t pollute the environment while running were as eco-friendly as these road running machines could get, then you are in for a pleasant surprise. In fact, you will be mighty impressed by the vision of Gun-woong Kim and Su-ji Kim, who have come together to design and create a one of its kind car that can actually clean the environment while zig-zagging across the roads of your city.

These two South Korean students, studying industrial design at the Kyung-won University in Korea, claim to have found a novel solution to the problem of existing pollution by creating an all-electric car called VIERA, which they claim will make your city air clean and refreshing. According to them, this steel grey and green car is best suited for those people who live on the outskirts of the city or downtown, as the more you run it, the more environmental air you will clean up.

This futuristic car has a unique design wherein the four legs of the car, or rather machine, that are in a scissor-like shape can open and transform themselves into different shapes, depending on the density of the traffic you have to navigate. This feature clearly helps you tackle rush hour traffic, constricted roads and even secluded highways. Further, they promise total driving comfort and ease, even while the legs change their shape while driving.

But the main USP of this car is that it acts as a kind of an air purification filter. This is because, it is so designed that the front intake valve of the car inhales or sucks in the polluted air, which the car itself then filters of all its pollutants, dust and other particles, and then pushes out clean air along with Anions out of the outtake valve of the car.

This car, which has already won many awards, such as the Incheon International design award 2009 and the Seoul Cycle Design Competition 2010, may just be the car of the future, as along with comfort it promises a clean and green city.
