Eco Factor: New hybrid technology to improve fuel efficiency.
Nissan’s long term strategy for sustainable mobility is ready to get a boost with the introduction of hybrid electric version of luxury car Infiniti M35 Hybrid next year. The car would be powered by a new proprietary hybrid system giving its consumers another flavor of hybrid technology-to compete against full hybrids from Toyota and others.
Nissan’s hybrid technology comprises of a single motor instead of two used by Toyota, and two clutch parallel full hybrid system. This makes Infiniti M35 Hybrid simpler and lighter than its competitors. It also uses a lithium ion battery which gets charged by the engine while driving. Nissan expects the new hybrid power-train technology to improve fuel efficiency by 60-90 percent.
