Eco Factor: Wind powered car runs using power from wind turbines.
Nemesis has finally started to come together, bringing the saga of building a “wind car” for Ecotricity founder Dale Vince to its climax. It’s the re-engineered form of a former Lotus Exige whose gasoline-based engine was replaced with twin electric motors.
Nemesis is a wind car, built from an innovative lightweight body and runs from a battery which stores power from wind turbines. The car has recently been fitted with a battery management system and an electronic control unit to manage the electric sports car’s one or more electrical systems. The wind car is just final touches away from completion and is expected to exceed all expectations on the track.
