Eco Factor: Concept bicycle to be used as the basis of a bike-sharing program.
Thomas Coulbeaut’s MyLoop bicycle has been adjudged as the final winner of the Copenhagen Bike Share Competition. The design revolves around the use of a futuristic bike that comes with a docking station that provides electricity for all energy demanding functionality and secures the bicycle when not in use.
The MyLoop bicycle has been designed to take very little space in the city and, in principle, has unlimited capacity in the way bikes can be locked to one another. While recharging, one bike becomes the docking station of the other. In addition to a futuristic design, the MyLoop has a simple and user-friendly interface.
The construction is simple and the body is sturdy. A command console is placed over the headset, along the fork tube. Front LED lighting, a screen and a card sensor are integrated in this console. On the rear part, seat and luggage rack are adjustable in height. A rear LED light is located under the seat. The light switches both on and off automatically according to the luminosity.
